Uninterrupted Signal Processing USP
Lenz USP is a feature that allows locos to function correctly on dirty track or on complicated trackwork and provides the loco decoder with an onboard power supply.
The POWER1 modules store energy that can keep a loco running smoothly over point frogs and dirty track. If the digital signal is lost then the motor will be stopped so that the loco will not keep running after derailment. If a sound module is connected to the SUSI connector of the Gold decoder then the POWER1 or POWER3 will keep the sound running even if power is lost momentarily.
The POWER1 and POWER3 modules do not effect programming of the decoder.
