With their engines reaching their wear limits in the early 2000s, the decision was made to fit the Kolumna 12 D 49M diesel - this was chosen as it was an easier replacement for the originals  - it did have the advantage of being able to run with cylinders turned off to conserve fuel. This bright yellow Br233 is run by the construction arm of Deutsche Bahn and has been named Tiger.

Centrally mounted motor with flywheel.  All wheels driven

Minimum radius of operation 267mm (Hornby TT R1, Roco TT R1 321mm)

Fitted with a PluX16 decoder interface for easier conversion to DCC.
