REE have announced an X2800 for the 21st century in HO scale. The model will be accurate for 1:87scale with attention paid to all of the major dimensions as well as a high level of detail, inside and out.
Planned for the end of 2021
The X2800 was designed to satisfy the SNCF U-825 (Unified 825 horsepower) standard for a new diesel railcar and built upon the earlier Renault autorails (VH, ABJ and ADP).
119 Railcars were constructed from 1957 until 1962 and used a diesel motor manufactured by MGO (Marep, Grosshans, Ollier)
The X2800 served for over 50 years - final retirement was in 2009
