All Lenz O Locomotives Feature DCC Sound, smooth high performance motors and Lights that change with the direction of travel.  Each Loco also has automatic system recognition for DCC (Digital) and conventional (Analog) operation.

Please note that these are limited run models and Lenz go to extraordinary lengths to make sure that their level of excellence is maintained.   This can result in production delays as errors are addressed.

Loco will run on conventional 16vDC

Whilst the Br50 was a large locomotive it was able to run on many branch lines due to its light axle loading.  3,164 were built all over Europe and 2,159 were taken into DB stock after WWII. Around 350 went to the DR.  The loco was used on both freight and passenger trains.

Synchronised smoke generator. Developed in conjunction with Seuthe the 14ml capacity smoke generator will run for between 40 and 60 minutes.

USP (Uninterrupted Power Supply) and energy storage.
For transportation - The loco is bolted into its packaging to ensure that it cannot move in transit

This version will have the box tender, 4 domes and Witte smoke deflectors.  Large amounts of the loco will be made from metal  (Boiler, frames, tender chassis and cylinder block)
Lenz intend to produce the locomotive with work lights to illuminate the wheels and coupling rods.  The photos show the quality of the parts and Lenz have put exacting requirements on the quality of the finished model

The conversion increased the running speed and decreased the axle loading so that the Br56.2 could run on branch lines.  They were now suitable for passenger trains as well as freight. 691 were converted and 368 entered DB service.  They ran until 1968 in the West and 1970 in the East.

No.55 3788 DB Version. Vented cab roof
Constructed between 1913 and 1921 to a design  by Robert Garbe the G8.1 was an important machine. Deliberately designed to be heavy for great traction without sanding the G8.1 could only be used on main lines, nevertheless, over 5,000 of them were built for the K.P.E.V. plus export.   Around 1,000 remained in Germany in the 1950s and the last was withdrawn from the DB network in 1972.
 691 G8.1 were converted to Br56.2 by adding a leading bissel truck that reduced axle load, increased stability at speed and allowed these locomotives to work on branch lines.
