Overview of future projects

Br44

 
I am sorry to report that this project has been cancelled with MBW announcing a similar range of Br44 at the same time
E41 and Br38
The CAD design for these models is complete - they will now enter the Lenz quality assurance process, along the same lines as the Br50.  All models will be rigorously tested for authenticity and reliability before they are released for sale.  The lessons learned and technology developed for the Br50 will speed up the build time for these models.
Future planned steam locomotives
Br56.2 (Prussian G8)  2-8-0 Tender loco  (Br55 rebuilt with stabilising bissel truck in the lead.
Br55 0-8-0 Tender Loco
Br74  - Almost 1,000 were built to the Prussian T12 design and were in use until 1968
Br70 (Bavarian Pt2/3) Distinctive because of its 2-4-0 wheel arrangement and large gap between the leading axle and the main driving wheels.  A superheated tank loco for local passenger traffic - perfect partner to the Bavarian coaches released in 2016

New coach designs
The next new coaches will be the  Gruppe 29 Express coaches and another run of the 4yg Umbauwagen.

The Wyhlen 10T crane wagon will be produced with DCC operation

The E41 were designed as multipurpose locomotives for light, fast passenger and goods trains. Thanks to the low axle load the E41 could be used branch lines. Between 1956 and 1971 a total of 451 units were built. All E 41 are equipped for push-pull services and have Bryant and Indusi brake systems.

40 of these crane wagons were built by Eisenbau Wyhlen AG. Originally they were manually operated, but they were later converted to compressed air or Diesel/electric operation.

The Lenz model will feature DCC Digital control.
  Rotation of the crane

  Hook lifting and lowering
  Moving counterweight
Support jacks will be moved by hand

News January 2019 - development of the electrical functions is complete - Functional testing threw up some issues that need to be addressed to provide a reliable model with all of the motors and electronics hidden - A 3-D printed test model is shown below - A stable material for the functional cables needs further testing.

Lenz 45060 Surface Mount Turntable  O Gauge 

Designed to reduce handling of a detailed locomotive whilst running on a layout. Intended for a hidden section to provide a practical means of storing and turning locos. Fully motorised, with integrated reverse loop module and DCC addresses for the track exits.  4 track exits are included - an additional pack of 4 exits will be under item 49020
In Preparation 2020 - work is being done to find the best material for rigidity - the turntable needs to turn some heavy locomotives - Price to be finalised


Designed to allow locomotives to be turned without handling them this simplified turntable can be installed without a well - the track is the same level as the normal Lenz Spur O Track sections.  The turntable has 32 exits at 11.25o.  The turntable bridge is 500mm long so is able to handle the new Lenz Br50.
