Lenz O Br80 Steam Locomotive 2027

The Br80 was designed to light shunting and station pilot duties.  39 were built from 1927-1929.

Many were passed onto industrial operators. 7 of these small, long lived locomotives are preserved.

The Br80 is very popular in model form, due to its small size - many people started in the hobby with a Br80 in a train set.

There is a British connection as 80 014 could be found at Carnforth in the 1970s then the Nene valley in the 1980s.  It is now back in Germany.

January 2026 - Lenz have streamlined the project to 4 livery options from 8 originally announced - To be fair the ones dropped had no pre-orders on my books so takes a bit of pressure from my budget.
