Prototype Information
1,989 Machines were constructed between 1926 and 1949 with another 226 assembled in France during the occupation. The Br44 was a 3 cylinder 2-10-0 with a tender. The traction power of 1,910PS allowed 1,200ton trains to be hauled in hilly regions and 600tons on routes with steep inclines.
