ESU 31000 DB V160 Sound and exhaust smoke
ESU31000ESU 31000 DB V160 Sound and exhaust smoke
E.S.U.  31000 DB V160 Diesel Locomotive No. V160 130. Old Red livery. DCC Sound and Exhaust Smoke. EpIII.  HO In Stock

The DB diesel locomotive type program of the 1950s had a gap between the 1100 hp V100 and the twin-engine V200, which the Bundesbahn filled with the single-engine V160 from 1960. In order to achieve the desired maximum axle load of only 18.5 t, consistent lightweight construction was necessary. Nine of the ten pre-series machines affectionately referred to as Lollo because of the conspicuous rounding of the end faces after the Italian film actress Gina Lollobrigida were handed over to DB in August 1960. The tenth received a cost-effective edgy forehead, which, however, provided a slightly advantageous appearance by retaining the frame. The V160s, which were built in series from 1964, then had a continuous frame and have shaped the image of the DB line diesel locomotives ever since. The Daimler-Benz type MB 839 Bb (later MTU MB16 V 652 TB) was chosen as the driving engine. The 1900 hp sixteen-cylinder unit had turbochargers and charge air cooling and accelerated the V160 to 120 km/h. Since the Bundesbahn did not see the need for all V160s to be equipped with multiple traction and reversing train control, these devices were only installed in V160 026-035, 083-104, 130-169 and 185-199. You can therefore send your ESU models over the system with peace of mind with a reversing pull. The V160 proved to be very reliable from the start and was used in front of freight, passenger and even express trains. The four-axle trains were also encouraged to carry passenger trains, for which the stronger and faster V200 was intended. In freight transport, for example, the locomotives had to prove themselves as a replacement for failed Steam-44s. In 1977, when the last of the heavy five-couplers were sold at DB and at the same time new 218 were delivered, the stock of the 216 in the Ruhr area was increased and the locomotives were increasingly used in freight traffic.

E.S.U.  31300 MRCE G1000 Diesel Locomotive No. 500 1578. Black livery. DCC Sound. Ep6.  HO In Stock

At the beginning of the 2000s, the Austrian Federal Railways ÖBB ordered 90 Class 2070 shunting locomotives from the Kiel MaK mechanical engineering department.  The locomotive construction in Kiel was taken over by Vossloh and further developed. As a more powerful version of the G800, the G1000, equipped with an MTU eight-cylinder diesel engine, was launched on the same chassis. The 1100 kW (at 1860 rpm) and 100 km/h fast locomotive can be ordered for axle loads from 18 to 20 t and with country packages for right and left traffic. Between 2002 and 2016, Vossloh delivered 103 copies to railways in Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Deutsche Bahn was also interested in the four-axle and rented locomotives from various landlords for several years. The locomotives reliably provided freight services in almost all federal states. The locomotives are used in heavy shunting service, but also in front of local freight trains. Some G1000 belong to locomotive rental companies such as Northrail in Germany or Ferrotract in France and are employed within the respective national borders, for example, in all sectors of medium-heavy local freight transport, but also in the factory traffic of large industrial enterprises or in sea and inland ports. Various owners such as Spitzke Logistik (D) or Colas Rail (F) use the reliable four-axle axles in construction train traffic. Even after delivery of the Voith Gravita, DB occasionally uses borrowed G1000 in the event of vehicle bottlenecks.

E.S.U. 41010 OO/HO Premium loco service stand  DCC Control   In Stock
The ESU Premium Foam Train Service Tray is the ideal tool for the maintenance and care of your locomotives.
Two recesses are available for perfect work: The locomotive can be clamped upside down to comfortably reach the underbody of the locomotive. In the classic inclined tray, you can easily reach the sidewalls of the locomotive or set up the locomotive almost vertically, in order to achieve the interior of the locomotive well.
The Premium Foam Train Service Tray consists of a soft, fine-pored foam with high restoring force. As a result, small parts such as handle bars, antennas or pantographs cannot get caught and thus reduce the possibility of damage to a minimum. The material is resistant to oil, grease and other cleaning agents. For safe storage of small parts and screws, a magnetic storage recess is available over the entire length.
The Premium Foam Train Service Tray is 328mm long and can be arranged in rows, so that longer Service Trays for the maintenance of railcars can be built.
