E.S.U. 31448 TSO (French Railway construction company) Deutz KG230 Diesel Locomotive. DCC Sound and Exhaust Smoke. EpV/VI. HO
Prototype:
Deutz manufactured the KG230 for industrial customers in the early 1960s. Many are still in use today. The Deutz air cooled A12L714 was used and generated 230ps at 2,000rpm. Maximum speed was between 20 and 30kph depending on the customers requirements and additional mass was added depending on the track used by the customers so the weight was between 26t and 36t. Deutz manufactured 64 locos with a further 3 built by Henschel.
