KM-1 Spur O

The Br82 was designed to replace the damage prone Br87 and ageing Landebahn (Pre First world War) 0-10-0 tank locomotives. 41 Machines were constructed between 1950 and 1955. The major requirement were high tractive effort and the ability to work on harbour lines with a 100 meter radius curves -They were mainly employed at marshalling yards at Bremen and Hamm as well as the harbours of Hamburg and Essen. They were also popular on lines with steep inclines such as the Westerwald, Black forest and Murg Valley. They could haul 800 tonnes up to 70km/h.
