The model features full  Warm White LED lighting .    The loco can negotiate curves down to 420mm radius - Fleischmann R2, Roco R3, Peco R2, Hornby R2.
Fitted with a 21-pin decoder interface for easy conversion to DCC.

Fitted with an ESU LokSound V4.0 sound decoder with 24 controllable sound functions.


Based on the Br50 the Br52 was simplified to speed up construction and cheaper materials were used as they were never intended to be long lived.  In all around 6,700 were manufactured.  The low, 15t axle load and their simplicity meant that they were surprisingly long lived - Austria kept them until 1976 and Poland still had locos operating in the 1990s.
The SNCF recovered 42 Br52 Steam locomotives after the war and renamed them class 150Y.  They mainly ran in the East of France and were serviced at the following depots; Hausbergen, Mulhouse-Île-Napoleon, Mulhouse-Nord, Sarreguemines, Sarrebourg and Thionville.  They were fazed out by 1959.

150Y3697 was a former DRB machine 52 3697 Manufactured in 1943 by Krauss Maffei with simplified Witte smoke deflectors, 32Y tub tender and small stone guards mounted on the front Bissel truck.

DRG Br44 locomotives were built in French factories under the occupation, the SNCF recovered 239 of these locomotive after the war. 226 were made serviceable becoming 150X1-226 in 1949/1950.  There were mainly allocated to the Nord and Est regions for heavy freight.  They lasted up until 1959 on the Nord region and 1965 on the Est region - many were sold on to Turkey.  Five of the French built machines are preserved, 4 in Germany and 1 in Turkey.

Completely new model of the wartime United States Army Transportation Corps S160 "Rattlesnake" 2-8-0 Austerity locomotive.  Used all over Europe to replace damaged locomotives.  The model features see through - four bar frames, investment cast metal coupling rods, finescale wheels and many separately applied parts.

200 S160 were lent to the SNCF with 121 entering the loco fleet as 140-U-1 to 140-U-121.  Testing of the S160 at Vitry found them to be sub par for the needs of the rebuilt SNCF. They were then sold on to new owners as the infinitely better 141R locomotives became available

■ Finely detailed pantographs Since the French railway network is split into a DC and a AC network, the SNCF, after a certain point, decided to buy only two-current system locomotives for their new vehicle program. The BB 22200, which was the first two-current locomotive to be delivered in series to the SNCF in 1976, was followed by 234 more locomotives of the series BB 26000 from 1988 on. The locomotive soon became known under the name „Sybic“, which was chosen for the terms „synchrone“ (stands for synchronous motors) and „bicourant“ (stands for two-current system capability). The Sybic locomotives are used in high-quality express trains, in regional trains as well as in the freight trains from the division „FRET“.

Starting in 1955, 35 locos were constructed for the Grand Cienture line, a series of marshalling yards on the perimeter of Paris.  The locos featured 2,300hp Sulzer 12 cylinder Diesels married to a CEM generator set.  At the time they were the most powerful diesel locomotives anywhere.
