23170 Decoder Programmer
The Digital plus decoder programmer offers two useful functions: Convenient programming of CVs via a PC and updating of decoder software while the decoder is installed. A USB cable is used to connect the programmer to the PC. The data stream to and from the decoder flows through a connected programming track. This can be a stand-alone solution or an electrically separated or switchable programming track (for example, a siding track). The programmer is supplied by a model railway transformer or a mains adapter.
All CVs of a DCC decoder can be read out and written in with the Digital plus programmer. Handling of the editor screen is easy and intuitive, information on individual CVs facilitate the entering of values. All DCC compliant decoders, including those of other manufacturers, can be read and programmed with the Digital plus programmer.
Decoder Software updates
Until now, decoder software had to be updated at the manufacturer’s facility, To this end, the decoder had to be uninstalled and sent in. The Digital plus programmer enables the updating of installed Digital plus decoders from version 7.0 (value in CV 7) as well as Lenz gauge 0 decoders on the programming track!
This updating function is particularly useful for RailCom features: New functions presented in the course of the future development of RailCom can be implemented quickly and conveniently.
The CD included in the delivery contains both the programmer application for PCs as well as the latest decoder software. Future updates will be announced on our website and will be made available for download. The latest decoder description files can be found in the Download Area.
